Welcome to Coville Cottage!

Your vacation home in the heart of Oistins Barbados, near Miami Beach.

Live like a local

Enjoy our Barbadian house that has been in the same family for 100+ years. This is not a resort. It is a real home on the south coast with Freights Bay surf break behind it and Oistins just down the road.

Coville Cottage is a 100 year old home built by our grandparents, as a traditional Barbadian chattel house. The property once held two homes side by side, one for each daughter. Over time, the homes were divided. Both daughters now live next door and Coville remains today, carefully maintained, thoughtfully updated, and still rooted in the same family and neighbourhood.

This is not staged. It is not polished for photographs. It is a home that has evolved with care over generations, adapting to modern life without erasing what made it real in the first place.

Guests choose Coville because it feels grounded, safe, and familiar. You live in a neighbourhood, not behind gates. You shop where locals shop, take the bus just like a local, and move through Barbados at its natural rhythm.

Coville is best suited for travellers who value comfort, safety and authenticity.

“We spent 3 unforgettable weeks at Coville Cottage with our teenage daughter! Perfect location at the heart of the buzzing south coast of the island, and ideal home base to explore the whole island with at 15-20 mins walk from Oistins – bus, beaches, fish market and shops”
